And by tragic, I mean trivial. Sort of. Annoying, probably. And somewhat stressful. Very stressful. To me, anyway.

Ilya is comatose. I'm being forced to use Herb, and I'd post a screenshot to show you the horrendous state of the graphics is (no idea what the problem is, course now I have to use him, am trying to figure it out) but that button appears not to work. But, graphics-wise, I have returned to 1990.

The power socket broke about an hour ago. I then panicked. Flailed. Then phoned Dad. Who was phenomenally helpful and now I have a person to phone in the morning and they will fix him and they are apparently very good and quick. So currently, I cannot play DVDs, cannot listen to music, or MP3s, can't play games, can't use Photoshop, can't work on any fic I've started.

But I can use the Internet. Sort of. Yay.

I am vaguely proud that this time, the broken!computer isn't my fault. I do hope no questions are asked concerning the sticky tape on the case from that time I accidently drunkenly knocked him over though. Ahem.

ETA: Heh, I made progress in Fixing. Updated graphics driver, so now there's at least the option to have ma proper graphics back, and the right screen resolution, but I still can't restart and actually get them cause one the the files in the registry's been corrupted. I think. May send Herb to get fixed after Ilya recovers, yes.

ETA2: Graphics and screen resolution are back! Dude! ...don't actually know what I did, but the important thing is that it worked. Now if only I could get it to shut down properly, ahrrm.
