PRECIOUS INTERWEBS!

Oh, oh, Ilya broke. He broke DEAD. In the middle of a smashing Sarah Jane fic I was reading. It was AWFULNESS. (I know not what is wrong with him, it was not me and accidental damage for once. He switched off and would not switch back on again, though there was power and such. He switched on once or twice and managed to get through start up and then he was gone again after a few minutes of me desperately looking for A Reason For His Failure. It looks like a hardware thing, woe. But at least I did not break the power thing again, yay.) So he is now home for repairs and will hopefully be fixed soon.

I have Herb now, and I love him. He only breaks when I drop him. He has Fortitude and stuff, yes. Dude. My favourite computer ever.

This clever swap was enabled by jekesta who, in some Mad Act of Generosity and Niceness drove me home and back today. About three hundred miles. Dude. She is Made Of Win (and, y'know, clearly mad, but a smashing driver.) nerdcakes came along for Atmosphere. It was some terrifying clash of real and fannish life, but we all seem to have survived, hurrah!

We are still watching Doctor Who in order and are now at Marco Polo, episode two. Watching DW with them has meant I have learnt several new things: Susan is mad and definitely not the Doctor's real granddaughter. In fact, she was found on some planet and saw the Doctor and decided he should totally be her grandfather. Ian is completely useless and keeps trying to be heroic in useless ways. Also he is only allowed a torn cardigan in order to demonstrate his hero qualities. Barbara is a whore (this is a compliment from them, yes) and is Susan's girlfriend and slept with everyone on Skaro and they gave her shiny leather trousers.

Also there were noises of disgust as much of Ian's leg was revealed in Edge of Destruction. Not from me, me think that bit is Win. Yes.
