Voting, as ever, bit of an anticlimax. I always get it into my head that there'll be a wee parade and banners and minature trumpets welcoming me to my polling booth, but no. Merely two policeman, a nice lady and a bit of a twat who felt the need to be judgey at my university hoodie.

Turns out, I'm a bit of a floating leftie voter. I was still flailing in the booth and considered voting for the dude who, apparently, has the middle name Preposterous. Also the SNP almost tricked me into voting for them for the Parliamentary list said at the top: "SNP - Alex Salmond for First Minister!" which sounded both exciting and a jolly good idea until I remembered that's the list vote and I'm meant to be voting Green there, which I did. For FPTP and Council twas LibDem; they haven't a hope in hell of winning the constituency vote, but it's SNP/Tory marginal and one's evil, the other's foundation is something I'm not at all keen on.

Ideally, I'm hoping the Greens take over and have to do a coalition deal with the Lib Dem who'll stop them from going completely nuts. Realistically, I'm rather keen on an SNP government who utterly fail to win the populace over in an independance referendum, but do manage to make them think they're rather good at being in charge of a devolved Parliament.
