It brings me teh joy that Master/Doctor is like mainstream now (Is it? Can I call it that? It feels like it is. And Master!fic generally, yes) but the sheer overflow of angst is KILLING ME. Dudes. I am dead of the woe. And much of it is good woe, but what happened to Zany Adventures and Snarky Dialogue and Accidental Sex? (I don't know if there ever was Accidental Sex, actually, but it seems like there should have been, cause it would bring teh lols.)

shaggydogstail's trilogy (or series... maybe series... it's all very thematically connected by lols, anyway) of Master/Doctor fics in order to RECOVER FROM ANGST. Even the once wacky, half-baked nonsense of the Academy has been steeped in emo, dudes!
My favourite thing was this, featuring the Rani and her companion, Lucy, cause it's doing something all shiny and new, which is a bit tricksy when there's so little (New Skool, anyway) Master canon to play with and teh fandom's been saturated with Master fics pretty much nonstop since the finale and there're lots of repetitions and cliches and the like all floating around now.
Also, spoilerish joy that I am CHOOSING TO BELIEVE because it would cause dancing and the best Children in Need since Dimensions in Time (shutup, I was, like, 9, and Doctor Who had never ever been on telly before... that I could really remember anyway) ( spoilerishness from Teh Sun, thus ultra-reliable as ye know )
