yuletide, yo

So the Yuletide assignment arrived and I then flailed madly because NOT IN THE WHONIVERSE. But of course it's not. Obviously. I knew that. It's just been a teeny wee while since I wrote in any other fandom ever. But it's tots doable. People write in other fandoms all the time. And it's not as though I don't know these characters a bit. No panicking. Yes. Good.

I sort of watched the whole of House over the summer or a bit before that, whenever, and enjoyed it like candy, lovely lovely candy, and was cheerfully shipping everyone but my favourite was ( spoilers for, um, the last episode? Second last maybe now? )

And if that was not enough flail, there be New Torchwood Babiez!. There's something v special and about seeing wee baby!Rose sit down to a cup of tea with Satan. And Nine! Nine is there. Being Nine. It is quite, quite wonderful, yes.

I spent lots of today reading through a medieval bestiary for stuff to steal borrow for Nano (aka My Incredibly Non-Derivative Fantasy Novel Ha Ha). Then I got bored and decided, yes, there will be dragons. Because dragons are cool. And sometimes voiced by John Hurt. Which reminds me, there's a Uther/Morgana community, dudes! There is even fic! Well, a fic. But still! More than just me likes the pairing! The comm be kingandward, and makes me incredibly happy even though they are clearly dooooooooomed in oh-so-many ways.

I didn't request Merlin fic for Yuletide either. Am idiot. I even left the fourth thingie blank because that's how my mind felt at that point (over 2000 fandoms! I was all tired and confused). I could maybe try Merlin fic though, as a practice for Writing In Other Universes. I checked, and last time I posted any was over two years ago, and that probably doesn't even count as it was a Doctor Who crossover with, um, Alien. Yes. Quite.
