dizzy means you're spinning right

- My sister sent me a cupcake candle. That is a candle shaped like a cupcake, not a cupcake shaped like a candle, for that would be a candle cupcake. It looks like a cupcake and smells like a cupcake, but it does not taste like a cupcake. I know this due to ma lernins and not because I tried to eat it. It does make a wee flame, however, and fire is good because it keeps the wolves away.

- I did once try and eat a particularly delicious smelling peach body wash. That was a mistake.

- Today I made a chair. It is my Cunning Plan to convince myself that I should work at my desk and not lounge around on the sofa or bed. Mostly it is working because if I sit in the chair I can pretend I'm on Mastermind (with Magnus Magnusson, not the other one), and my specialist subject would be Doctor Who because I've heard the questions they did last time that was someone's specialist subject and they were easy, not because I know absurd and/or obscure details like production codes.

- The Monster of Peladon's is YYY, but you're allowed to know that one cause it's funny.

- The chair is also very spinny.

- jekesta and cakesy have been helping me find Good Films That I Might Like from the olden days of Hollywood because my knowledge of such things is limited to "I think a sneak nuke attack would massively improve It's A Wonderful Life" and "I've tried to watch Casablanca four times. I liked the Simpsons parody though."* Yesterday I watched The Philadelphia Story and it was awesome. There's a beautiful OT4 and Katherine Hepburn is amazing and weirdly reminds me Captain Janeway and there is a pool and a ridiculous amount of snark and a bad moustache and today there will be either Holiday or Some Like It Hot. One of these does not have Katherine Hepburn in it, so probably it will lose.

*I'm not counting the sword-and-sandal epics, cause I love them, obv.

- Short skirts are awesome and, paired with a sensible pair of shoes, eminiently practical for running in.
