I would have liked just one more season of Nine/Rose, simply because the intensity of it all appealed to me. There was an immediacy to it, a certain fire that would burn itself out quickly but would be fun to watch burn.
Ten/Rose? Doesn't do anything for me. I just don't see it. At least not yet.
Knock on effect? Am confused. Do you mean all the mad squeeing/shipping generated by the New Skool is having a retrograde effect on the Old? If so, I totally agree. It happened to me. I came in with Nine/Rose...and then went full on fan girl crazy for Five/Tegan. (And the Davison Era altogether, really) I'm sure it's amusing as all hell for some open minded "older" fans. ;)
