New LJ Layout

LJ's going to be switching the default navigation thing tomorrow to a new one called Horizon (post about it here, to anyone not logged into LJ. It's quite similar to Xcolibur (however they spelt it, ahem) but feels a bit cleaner to me.

But the best bit is that I can find things now. I switched over about a half hour ago and started using the tracking thing again (aka Stalking Made Easy) and now I love it cause the message centre's so accessible (I think maybe this is a thing that's just on permanent accounts just now, but they're releasing it to everyone in the next couple of weeks.) So many times there's been busy discussion going on, and I miss something or spend ages looking through threads I've already read, and now it tells me about new comments in a little menu thing, and I am a bit in love with it.

And the new layout has other Useful Numbers! Like how many user icons I'm using, and it's just little things like that that I find really helpful, and am quite happy about. And it's now easy to find the community invites thing which I spent forever having to look for every time I needed to use it before, yes. This finding of things is good.

And I maked a new Romana icon, cause she was looking a tad serious in the last one, yes.

I'm finding it quite hard to navigate from some pages to others without going back to my own page, wot I understand. I expect I'll get used to it, whereupon they'll change it again.

The betanav eats the tops of pages in my browser. :-(

*is afraid of change*

Although the tracking thing sounds very interesting.
