Though do remember that not all of the British stuff on PBS or anywhere else is made by the BBC! Not even stuff marketed by BBC Worldwide (for instance, Primeval is marketed by BBC Worldwide but the BBC has no hand in it.)

Also that about a third of what is mentioned is Radio/Started on Radio rather than TV. (The News Quiz, Gardener's Question Time, Mayo and Kermode - a cult film review programme - Letter from America, Hancock's Half Hour, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy etc)
