Doctor Who! At last! PONDSESES!
- Finished watching Pond Life first. Decided this season of Who do not want drama or emo, want happy fun times ALL THE TIME. That will happen surely, yes. Good.
- Skaro, omg! THAT WAS A COOL TRAP, DALEKS. Also if you're going to make human-Daleks, that's probably the way to go. Less tentacle, more scarieness. Yay, Dalek saucer!
- DO NOT GET DIVORCED PONDS. I do not like this. This is not the happy fun times I spoke of.
- Parliament of the Daleks, eh? That just makes me want to read fanwank about the Daleks' legal system and political set-up.
- "Save the Daleks!" Well, it's new anyway...aha! And that's what the Doctor's just said too! I could tots write this, clearly. And what happens next is Gallifrey comes back, there are lots of Time Lords and the Doctor is A Rebel again instead of...hang on, the titles are over.
- WAIT A SEC. That's Jenna-Loiuse Coleman! Isn't she The Latest One? (And this btw is the bit I was unhappily spoiled for inadvertently on Twitter - no-one actually said she was in it, but I worked it out from a cryptic tweet, hrmph. And then it was confirmed cause they were playing it in the bar at Worldcon and I accidently looked up at the wrong moment.) So the new companion is FROM THE FUTURE. This is very good. Yaynesses! Not modern London!
- I like the Dalek Prime Minister. The lines and nicely understated delivery are terribly good.
- This is embarrassing, but although this whole "plot" thing is all interesting and stuff, mostly I would like to get back to the POND DOMESTICS AND A HAPPY RESOLUTION, THANKS. Don't worry, I'm judging myself.
- I saw Carmen at the theatre once. I was drunk by the end of the second intermission...you probably didn't need to know that. The horse from Gladiator was in it. A horrible amount of the programme was taken up with announcing that fact.
- OSWIN?! Wasn't he a Saxon king or something? Oh, and she knows what Daleks are; this is nice, and new for the New Series. Approval, yes.
- Those beam things look a bit like those other beam things in The Ultimate Foe. Just sayin'.
- DON'T POKE DALEKS, RORY.
- Yeah, the living dead Dalek puppet thngies in the Alaska was some well nifty Doctor Who scariness.
- GENIUS companion from the future? I approve even more. Also companions meeting next companions crossoverness, or whatever you want to call it.
- NO RORY NOT EGGS. Though I am getting a kick out of the Dalek spaceship sound I can hear. Mmm, delicious sixties nostalgia. SPECIAL WEAPONS DALEK! MAKE IT SHOOT SOMETHING!
- There's wank about "going through a phase" isn't there? Because no-one is ever unnsure or experiments with their sexuality ever. And we should keep characters like that off the telly.
- Just noticed that there're a lot of corridors in this, and running through corridors.
- That self-destruct noise sounds a lot like the security alarm in the Kaled bunker in Genesis. Just sayin'.
- "Doesn't she seem a bit too angry for you?" "Well, somebody's never been to Scotland." HURRAH FOR THE SCOTTISH AGENDA. Also, horrid lies. I myself am a lagoon of calm and marshmallow.
- "Explodey-wodey"? Really? Did you have to? At least it was said quietly enough that I almost missed it. Almost.
- OH PONDSES. PONDSES CRYING. DO NOT WANT.
- "Spiridon, Kembel, Aridius, Vulcan, Exxilon." Yeah, old skool glee. Shusht.
- Ooh, she's a Dalek! I...didn't guess that even though it was probs the most obvious answer. Still! Bit unsettling, yes.
- EEee! She deleted ALL DALEK KNOWLEDGE OF THE DOCTOR! OH BRILLIANT! I APPROVE! Anything for less of the legendary Oncoming Storm/Lonely God/Massive Wanker stuff. Best "Doctor who?" ever.
- AAGH. FEELINGS. So Ponds dropped off. Daleks have forgotten the Doctor. Doctor travelling alone, but OH I love the casual dropping in and out of the Ponds' lives, and SO SAD it is going to actually stop. BUT OSWIN WHAT ABOUT OSWIN?
- In conclusion, when I heard "every Dalek ever" I though it was going to be shit, but nooooo, my favourite Dalek episode of the New Series instead. And as good as Dalek too. Roll on
Rupert Gravesnext week.
