The Cat in the Hat
Feb. 24th, 2006 02:06 pmThing One - Questiontime sent me into a snarling fury at the telly. Then there was GLEE. For that Tory 'beancounter' was an utter nutter unashamedly advocating thought-crime, and having no objection to 'Holocaust denial' being a crime in this country, should some idiot propse such a bill. But...but...then there was a beautiful, BEAUTIFUL moment where an Oxford history student just smacked down her argument like the ROT THAT IT WAS and showed her to be horribly ignorant of history in general. It was joyous.
Thing Two - so not panicking. Suspect Internet addiction is Actual Thing. Have not had regular access for about a week and it's just Not Good. I feel cut-off from The World and have no idea what is happening anywhere and I feel strange and isolated and such, yes. This must stop, 'cept it won't and just, gah, and rubbish, and am going to run away home again just so I can write e-mail without my fingers Freezing To Death.
Word count: 5000-ish - and off to the library to pick up a final few books. Rar.
(Ooh, and I found out what happened to my The Beginning boxset for beloved Doctor Who-ishness, but shall save such flat-related rantings for when I'm not supposed to be working. Again.)
