My favourite episode of Red Dwarf is Quarantine - and right now I'm loving it even more, for I woke up and appear to have contracted one of the postive viruses it postulates and have felt rather fab since ten this morning.

I'm also a bit in love with bullet-pointing, which I'll stop. Next, um, Monday...or Tuesday. For that is when I will have Conquered Time.

  • Exactly how wrong is it to buy a mobile phone purely so it can be a BT one, purely so you can send Tom Baker texts which will all contain really stupid Doctor Who messages? There have to be worse reasons for buying a phone, surely?
  • I have not done Done Shopping (besides food) for a whole month, therefore I am going to buy self some Nice Clothes and Some New Make-Up. And put it all on a store card so I don't have to worry about it for four weeks and then I will pay all of next month. Yes. No, that's a good plan, really.
  • Believe restricted Internet access is slowly driving self ever more ungood - do not like frustrating skimming of flist, do not like not having time to read all the shiny fic and really, really hate not being able to play with icons. Need to buy one of those magic things ye plug into the USB port too.
  • Sarah Jane Smith is ACE (er, not literally). When was a wee bairn, she was favourite companion, but ever since she has been diminishing in affections. But writing the girl!Doctor story reminded me of what makes her so great. Because it really wouldn't have worked with anyone else - with the possible exception of Barbara - cause it had to be a woman, and they had to be practical and sensible enough to cope with the Doctor, but open-minded enough to accept her, and level-headed enough to deal with it all without much of a fuss. Anyone else would, I think, have either been too coddling and fluffy, two shrieky, or too rolling of the eyes at the Doctor.
  • So I have this Sekrit Fandom Fear that there will be awful bashing of dear Sarah Jane after School Reunion. This will make me cry. Like a Roman.

REALLY? HOW FANTASTIC. Puffins are great. Genius creatures. But they really do worry me with how unhappy they look. I'm one of these people who wants to make sure everybody they care about is happy and gets frustrated when she can't, so puffins cause me great problems.

Aw. Puffins look quite content, however, when they have beaks full of sand eels. They look like little judges. Bless them. And they have multicoloured noses. I'm sure if they were unhappy their colours would fade to let you know.

They do look content then, I grant you. Apart from when evil seagulls swoop and steal the sand eels rather than gathering them for themselves, lazy sods.

Perhaps their colours would fade, but look at their eyes, they're like the Pierrot of the animal kingdom. But not as scary and pointless. Or French.
