Three iconage

Three's a tricksy one. What Three needs to be awesome is A Team. (Not the A-Team.) Teams are very important in Doctor Who as they be generally More Than The Sum Of Their Parts, taking so-so characters and making them Teh Awesome. Three & Jo and Three & Sarah I find rather humdrum, and I don't really think Three should be allowed off Earth, cause unless he's facing the Master, those adventures tend to be terribly plodding. (Three & Liz = teh awesome though. Possibly they would even be awesome not on Earth, but we shall never know.) However Three + companion + UNIT? V V SHINY.

Anyway, here be icons, want, take, have, mostly season eight, with some seven and Sea Devils and Peladon and one of the Rani cause that pic was in the wrong folder, ho hum.

Yes, UNIT is the team! But without UNIT Three is very much not teh awesome for me. He did get mostly rather rotten off-Earth stories.

Tut! Three and Sarah have their moments but were kind of underwhelming (though you can't possibly be insulting the hilarity of Time Warrior, can you?!), of the three Three/companion pairs, but Three and Jo were made of fondness and not-overdone-ADORABLE! And the only non-Master off-Earth ones I think remember are Planet of the Daleks and Curse of Peladon, and I liked them! Death to the Daleks not quite so much, maybe--

Time Warrior sort of counts as TEAM cause it did have the Brig. (Also it is awesome so can be the exception to prove rule, yes.)

I TOTALLY ALREADY WAS.

It's weird. I haven't seen Day yet, but I liked Death, didn't adore it, and I actually quite liked Planet. I <3 the courtly intrigue of the Peladons, though Monster started a bit slow. But then, it had a less wet fish of a ruler than Curse did, so it evens out. :d

The Mutants was lovely for I eat up anti-imperialism messages with a spoon, I do! And Jo got to be awesome, which does wonders for me. And that glowy dude was totally the inspiration for Tinkerbell Jesus Ten, YES HE WAS.

If ye liked Death and Planet, then you may very well love Day. If you can overlook the fact that they completely fail to hide the fact they only have 3 Daleks left. But yes! There be much shiny. Also time-travel cleverness.

Lmao I was watching an interview with Jon and Katy where they were having a ball bitching about the producers "surrounding the building" with two Daleks. "They had very large personalities." XD I love Katy!

Mah poor Geoffrey Palmer just CAN'T WIN with these people! And I liked his character in Mutants so much...for those two minutes he was there.

There are only so many Three icons a girl needs... but I'm taking a Jo icon! The one with the pretty white jacket from Sea Devils.

I think the team dynamic is why I like Three so... but on the other hand, having many companions does not make me like Five more, so maybe the need for a team varies from Doctor to Doctor.
