For there were picspams of pilots/finales on my flist for the month of pilot/finale picspam at a comm what name I can't remember, here is a picspam of the pilot o ma lovely show. So, forty-five years ago, on a cold November evening, this was not on the telly. Cause it's the first pilot made. It's pretty much what was onscreen except Jackie Hill didnae fluff a line that time and the Doctor had better clothes and was a bit less of a git. He has an Evil Laugh moment in this one. Heh. But mostly Babs is awesome. It's her story; she's the proactive protagonist. I LOVE THE BABS SHOW QUITE A LOT. Ahem.
Anyway, here is A Lovely Picspam of the Doctor Who pilot, An Unearthly Child, part one:

WOO-EEE-WOOO! The original and best theme tune. And time tunnel. OH I LOVES IT. Also it looks dead good. 1963 PEOPLE.

The policeman! With his wee torch! Certain fans consider everything after he opens the door to Totter's Yard to be uncanonical. Trufax dudes.

Our hero, Babs! ILU! And her love interest, Ian. They've got this weird student, yo, and Babs is talking Ian into going and spying on her, like the good and responsible teachers they are.

The weird student. Obv, she is not an alien.

"Susan, are you an alien?"
"No, of course not, Mr Chesterton."

Spyings!

But what is this? A Police Box in a junk yard. A humming Police Box? How bizarre.
Also, Who's v first handpr0n. It took them about fifteen minutes, yo.

And who is this Mysterious and Enigmatic Stranger? And why has he got Susan the Weird Student stuck in the Police Box Cupboard?
Naturally, Ian finds the answers by going for a Manly Shove through the doors.

Zomg! It's bigger on the inside!

"This is mad! Mad, I say!"
"Calm down, Ian."
"MAD!"

"Lols! Silly humans don't understand our awesome alien ways."

"We be leavin you weird aliens now."
"Noes! You might tell someone about our awesome alien ways. I KIDNAP YOU NOW."

Zomg, kidnapped!

Date: 2008-11-05 05:49 pm (UTC)Needs pictures of Susan apologetically informing Ian that she's much smarter than him in science class. XD And possibly that fit at his shameless stupidity when he tries to do equations.
That idea about everything after the cop being uncanonical is...kinda interesting. Like, the whole series is a crackdream.
