1. There be season five action figures! Not that I'm buying any. Except Amy, and Eleventy. But that's perfectly reasonable. And, obviously, I'm not at all bitter about not immediately getting a dual River set with her in an evening dress and combat fatigues plus accessory sunglasses and hallucenogenic lipstick.

Elsewhere on the Internet a man is playing the Doctor Who theme tune with MAGIC LIGHTNING. (Or two Tesla coils, a Faraday suit, and 500,000 volts of electricity.)

2. I signed up for this year's Multiverse because I am a fool and someone made all these Dune prompts. And maybe I signed up for two things. Given how awesome I am at ficathons nothing can possibly go wrong with this plan.

3. Today is Friday. Shiny new 30 Rock DVDs arrived this morning and I am trying to convince myself that watching them is work. Like research. On America. Which is probably very neccessary to understanding how their strange and confusing television network ways function.

Even though I've already got my Eleven-in-Ten's clothes action figure, I want that Crash set because he's only in the shirt and tie. SWOON. I also need Amy for... uh... reference purposes. for drawing. Yes.

30 Rock is actually a documentary series, didn't you know? Just like Doctor Who is <--- I'm not joking about that because one of the Best Buys in NYC actually put all the Doctor Who DVDs in the Documentary section.

I SEE A LIZ LEMON ICON. I have to get some. It is Impossibly Sad that I will not get to be her when I grow up.

It's possible I may be rather fond of this (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v145/davidbrider/b3918623.jpg)...

I want Amy. And her action figure as well. Seriously though, apart from Eleven and Amy, the only thing that really appeals to me out of that lineup is the British Dalek and (to a far, far lesser extent) the Red Hunchback Dalek. And I don't normally care for the Dalek figures all that much.

I'm still mad I missed out on Classic Wave 2 (particularly Earthshock Cyberman and Ice Warrior) and the brown Seventh Doctor w/TARDIS...

Yeah, I do want the Ironside Dalek quite a bit. I am trying to ignore those feelings because there comes a point when one really does have Too Many Daleks in the Dalek drawer.

I like the Amy one better than Eleven ... his face looks weird. But is it wrong that the one I really want is Hawthorn? It's Terrence Hardiman dammit!

No! It's merely proof that kids telly was still good when you were gorwing up, yes.

Eh, I am just as foolish as you. Well, foolish enough to sign up for one, anyway. But there is not min word count, which is good. So maybe the internets will end up enriched by there being fic where Maria becomes the Middlegirl.

Of course it will. Just as it will undoubtedly benefit from...whatever my prompts where that I had Very Good Reasons for picking at the time. Ahrrm.

... according to the sign-up sheet, one of them seems to be Doctor/Kosh?

Yeah, the internets needs that.

Even we Americans don't fully understand how our networks function, so, uh, good luck figuring that one out.

So far I've discovered Conan O'Brian is really very much not who I thought he was.

Seconded. As it's said, Americans think California is weird, Californians think Angelinos are weird. Angelinos think people in Hollywood are weird, and the people in Hollywood think they're normal. They are the innermost layer of American insanity. And they run our entertainment media. Whether this is cause or effect is up to debate...
