- It's thirty years to the day since Blake was first broadcast. In celebration, I didn't watch it, since I don't wish to be in a horrendously miserable mood for the next week. (I like to pretend It Didn't Happen. It took a silly number of years after watching it for the first time before I could enjoy the lovely, non-everyone dying episodes of Blake's 7 again. DON'T MOCK ME.)

- There is a Hobbit trailer. Which I was totally going with an "I don't care" attitude until I SAW IT and apparently I'm very weak for SOMETHING since it made me go "eeee! lovely!" and get all excited and yayful and "maybe I should rewatch the trilogy?" about it.

- There are also Sherlock trailers. I haven't seen those yet.

- Thank you very much, lovely Christmas card people. And, [livejournal.com profile] jekesta your preferences have been noted.

- I wish I didn't keep making the mistake of thinking [livejournal.com profile] yuletide would be fun and then having a panic at the last minute. Worst of it is, I've an awesome prompt. Perhaps the exact prompt I'd've asked for if I had a choice in what I wrote and I'm still procrastinating like woah. On the bright side, I've a plot and 600 words, and that was after twenty minutes sitting down and writing and almost all of the words come under Not Dreadful, so am sort of optimistic Everything Will Be Just Fine.

- As soon as there is time probs will be looking at crossposting to DW, since latest LJ changes are a bit annoying.

- From [livejournal.com profile] girlofprey: here is a 'hilarious' comedy sketch about how girls are shit at computer games, to which I say fuck the fuck off, you fucking tossers. I've played Call of Duty, I'm pretty decent, (shooting Nazi zombies with my (male) teenage cousin, I won) but give me a RTS game and I will kill you dead, you unfunny people, you.

- Scrooged hasn't been on the telly yet. WHY NOT? It is the best of all festive films, surely.

I had a very similar reaction to the Hobbit trailer. Probably due mostly to exuberant teenage friends whooping about it all day and making me realise that being a miserable bastard doesn't suit me. Yet.

I'm terrible at being properly miserable and/or cynical. I DO TRY. It just doesn't work properly. I blame Doctor Who.

It is indeed difficult to be hard-bitten when I'm fully aware that the sudden appearance of a 35 year old robot dog is all it takes to reduce me to a squealing infant.

I'm loving this sudden wealth of trailers for things in the past few days.

The SONG in the HObbit trailer totally grabbed me by my Emotional Fangirl Gland (apparently that's an extra organ!) and yanked. :D

Yes, it's been a year and half since the last Sherlock. And at that we only get an additional three episodes.

I'd at least have liked the normal six most shows get...

I'm watching Blake at the moment, I'm faintly disturbed that I still appear to know great chunks of dialogue off by heart. That was a good use of brain space, 12 year old self!

The Hobbit trailer is just lovely. I was never fannish about LoTR, but it makes me feel all Christmassy to have films in that 'verse again...

It was on... Last Saturday? Or Sunday. Can't remember, but we watched it with the girls and it is LOVE!

Agreed. I never trust any of the BILLIONS of channels that there are to broadcast it so I invested in the DVD a few years back. Will watch with the Mothership on Christmas Eve. Amazing.

And since you mention it, ever since I saw The Hobbit trailer I feel as though my boxset of TLofTR trilogy is calling out my name. But seeing as the new film doesn't come out of A Year, I don't want to rush in to anything, you know?

Outrageously I hadn't seen Scrooged before, so was looking forward to it being on TV this year. I couldn't find it anywhere though, so gave in and rented it last night.

...running around in circles to see how long it took me to die and intentionally blowing my character up sounds like something I'd do in a game if I were bored, not crap at it (which I usually am, but that's not the point). So I will pretend that actually that boy's little sister is really good at video games, and cackling evilly in the fashion of all people who do that to their characters :p.

Wow, the new comment box is off-putting.

Amongst my many wrongnesses is not minding the end of B7 series four. The loss of the Liberator, and the previous fakeouts, upset me much more. /over-identifies with spaceships
