Remix/Redux

Mine is...amazing, I think is the best word. It's a Remix of Old Things Made New (or the one where Rose regenerates) and it takes that awful idea and makes it worse (my mouth did the whole dropping open thing) and then makes it work. Also it bothers with stuff like a Plot and Resolution of Problems and just...I haven't been reading a lot of fic lately, but I'm so glad I did this ficathon, because that is one damn fine fic. It's witty and touching and Jack is being the Jack that makes him the perfect Jack person that he is.
I am, naturally, horrifically jealous of said writer. And (didn't expect this) found it rather bizarre to be reading some of my dialogue in completely twisted up places. It was fun, but very, very strange.
So, yes, go read this. It is as Fab.
What I wrote, I still really don't like. Mainly because I know it was awful and I was all kind of burnt out from the essay writing and, I suspect, had forgotten how to write stuff that wasn't essays. Anyway, wasn't happy with it at all. But receipient appears not to hate it, so that is good. Just wish I'd been more organised with my essays so I could have done something that I felt happy with, yes.
